Stelo – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Stelo, an ed-tech platform connecting students and toppers for sharing and accessing high-quality study notes. By using our platform, you agree to the following terms.

1.  User Roles

  • Students (Buyers): Can browse, purchase, and access notes
  • Toppers (Sellers): Can upload and monetize notes
  • Admins: Manage platform operations, verification, and moderation

2.  Account Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • Maintain confidentiality of login credentials
  • Do not misuse, exploit, or attempt unauthorized access

3.  Topper Verification

  • Toppers must submit valid academic proof
  • Any false or misleading information may lead to account suspension or removal

4.  Content Guidelines

  • Content must be original and non-copyrighted
  • No offensive, illegal, or harmful material
  • Platform reserves the right to remove or reject content

5.  Pricing & Payments

  • Notes are priced between in rupees (or updated dynamically)
  • Platform commission applies
  • Payments are processed via secure third-party gateways

6.  Refund Policy

  • Purchases are non-refundable once accessed/downloaded
  • Exceptions:
    • Duplicate payment
    • Technical failure

7.  Intellectual Property

  • Notes remain the property of the creator (Topper)
  • Buyers receive limited personal usage rights only
  • Redistribution or resale is strictly prohibited

8.  DRM & Security

  • Notes may include watermarks or identifiers
  • Unauthorized sharing may result in:
    • Account suspension
    • Legal action

9.  Reviews & Ratings

  • Only verified buyers can submit reviews
  • Fake, abusive, or manipulated reviews may be removed

10.  Payouts (For Toppers)

  • Maximum payout threshold: ₹500
  • Payment methods: UPI / Bank Transfer 
  • Settlement cycle: Weekly / Monthly as per admin

11.  Account Suspension

Accounts may be suspended for:

  • Fraudulent activity
  • Copyright violations
  • Policy misuse

12.  Limitation of Liability

Stelo is not responsible for:

  • Accuracy of content
  • Academic results
  • External misuse of downloaded material

13.  Termination

  • Users may delete their account anytime
  • Platform may terminate accounts violating policies

14.  Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
